I'm really enjoying Motorstorm on my trusty PS3. It's challenging but I'll get there. Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is also pretty cool but waaaaaay too hard for a casual gamer. Motorstorm: Apocalypse is nice but ... different.
Any recommendaions for arcade racers on PS3? Note I already have a few arcade racers so chances are I already own your recomendation.

Motorstorm PR was the best. No need to go any further, that's the one.

Are there any recent arcade style racing games? Used to love the Burnout series, and some of the need for speed games. Is Forza a simulation racer?

With all the remakes that have been coming out, how about a Burnout 3 remake?

It's shit, I traded my copy in What's ya problem with it? The controls are shite, it's repetitive, you spend hours just going from a to b, the inventory wheel is infuriating, it's pretty, but it's really really dull.

What's ya problem with it? The controls are shite, it's repetitive, you spend hours just going from a to b, the inventory wheel is infuriating, it's pretty, but it's really really dull. Rockstar games are always repetitive. GTA 5 was the same, it's basically like you're playing a movie and just interacting and doing repetitive tasks to get to the next cut scene. I don't have a problem with it though and enjoy that style of game. I think there's a bit of adjustment needed if you're going from a fast paced game to a slow, very in depth, meandering kind of game like Red Dead. If you don't have the patience to ride your horse through beautiful scenery to get from a to b then you probably shouldn't have picked up the game in the first place. That being said I see where you're coming from. I enjoy the GTA games way more than Red Dead because going from a to b is way more fun in a fast car or motorbike than a horse or wagon. It's also more fun shooting rocket launchers and machine guns than single shot pistols. I want GTA 6 already.

But you can feed feminists to alligators!
Is there any mods out yet? Jet pack for your horse or something?

We got the SNES Mini yesterday, and have already played it more in one night than ws did the PS4 in six months. This system was just perfect, it fell right into a sweet spot between graphics and playability.
The kids are loving it too, Super Mario World is probably the most accessible platformer of all time.

The SNES is amazing. I played each game for a quick 20 minutes before wrapping it back up for Xmas.
Looking forward to delve into that earthbound game.
there are so many goodies
Mario world Link to the past Megaman X Super Contra
F zero is still crap though after all these years.

Hell yes on Link to the Past. I actually somehow missed that one as a kid, my daughter and I were playing it together, super fun. Don't know how I missed it back in the day. Seems like it was kinda just an updated version of the original Zelda, same as Mario World.

Link to the past is one of the best games ever. I searched all through my storage boxes looking for the players guide I got with my Nintendo power magazine subscription back when I was ten. I was sure I still had it, I remember it was with my old Guitar magazines and Ocirana of time and Perfect Dark books. I would never have thrown it out because I'm a bit of a hoarder when it comes to that kind of stuff, found the box with everything else in it, except that book. Its bugging me now, because I know I did not toss it. I was hoping to pass it on to my son who is now just learning to read (then he doesn't have to bug me ever 2 seconds) Nothing I can't find online, but its not the same as a big glossy book he can sit down with and absorb like I used to looking at maps and weapons etc.

There is only 1 really old game I bother to play every few years, and that's Super Mario 3. It was NES era Mario perfected. The farthest I generally go back to these days is PS2 era.

Yeah, Mario 3 was really cool too. I remember getting it for my... 10th birthday? Somewhere around there. And we all played it for months on end, my mom and dad included. Mario has always been good fun family bonding and entertainment, to this day.

Mario 3 is played almost every day here with my kids. Megaman 3, Mario 1+2 as well. I downloaded a bunch of old school NES games onto my Wii before they closed down the Wii Shop. My wife still is horrible at those old NES games and gets beaten by a 3 year old quite regularly.
That's why I'm so stoked about the SNES mini upgrade come Xmas. The kids are going to flip.
I pointed out to my wife that the SNES mini will be the most modern thing in our home... and its a retro reissue.

Anyone looking forward to the n64 mini? Can't imagine what will be on it as most of the best games have a licence.

The PS1 Mini is about to come out too, but I'm struggling to think of a game on PS1 that was worth a shit. Metal Gear Solid maybe?

I'd have got the PS1 for Tekken 2, Worms, Destruction Derby and Aliens Trilogy. Only Destruction Derby is on it. SO it's a no from me. Nintendo really need to not put Ocarina on, they have milked that far too much, but it'll be on there. I need; Body Harvest Rogue Squadron Shadow of the Empire Goldeneye Snowboard 1080

How many games could they fit on an N64 mini?
I won't get one either way, my 64 still works fine and got a bunch of good games for it. My controllers are starting to get ify though with the analogue sticks.

I actually just started Super Mario RPG on the SNES mini last night. I’d never played it but always wanted to.
For whatever reason, it took me awhile to find the ‘right’ display setting on the SNES mini. The pixel perfect and 4:3 modes look like shit for most games on my tv. The CRT looks a lot better.
And F-Zero rules!

I'm not gonna make a big list here because there is one, but there were so many classic and revolutionary games exclusively on that system.

Eh, outside of Metal Gear, Final Fantasy 7 and Symphony of the Night there was very little on PS1 I cared about. It always felt to me like kind of a forgotten middle child between two much more prolific systems, SNES and PS2.
