Ocarina of Time is still the best. Most of their readers haven't even played it now.

I disagree with the Zelda love, but I’m not much of a Nintendo guy.
But yeah, there are older games much better than the top games on that list. 16-bit era is still king in terms of overall fun for me, with a splash of mid 90’s dial up multiplayer fun with games like Quake and Red Alert and a special mention to 4 player 64 GoldenEye and Mario Kart.
I’m building my Mega Drive collection slowly (its fucking expensive these days).

So what is this Fallout 76? An expansion or a new game?

So what is this Fallout 76? An expansion or a new game? I'm guessing it's sort of a spin-off of Fallout 4, kinda like New Vegas was a spin-off of Fallout 3. Also, it seems to be a prequel to all previous Fallout games, as it is set in the year 2102, 59 years before Fallout 1. Also, apparently it won't be a single-player RPG, rather than a online multiplayer survival game.

It's set in Vault 76.

E3 has kicked off, we have some great games coming out. Pretty pumped for Battlefield 5, Black Ops 4, Cyberpunk 2077 (whenever it arrives), Forza Horizon 4. Still unsure about Fallout 76 - the Xbox trailer looked good, we’ll have to wait and see what’s revealed later on. Also still on the fence about Red Dead 2.

Have they released much gameplay footage for Red Dead yet? Not to my knowledge. Watching the Bethesda show at the moment. Rage 2 actually looks alright, and a Doom sequel called Doom Eternal announced. Some Quake Champions e-Sports cartoony BS. Really annoys me, Quake 1 and Quake 2 are a couple of my favourite games, I think people would buy a new Quake game that would basically be the Doom reboot set in the Quake 1 universe, would be incredible. But anyway...adding Rage 2 and Doom Eternal to my hype/to buy list. EDIT: New Wolfenstein: Young Blood, set in 1980s playing as BJs kids. Looks awesome. Loved the recent Wolfenstein games. EDIT 2: OK so Fallout 76 is basically GTA Online but in Fallout. Where I imagine you join by yourself to start playing and you instantly get wiped out by a nuke or 10 other people in power armour who have put in 120 hours as a group and just destroy everyone.

Bethesda showed something for everyone! Interesting and overall a great presentation.
Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield have me super excited. So does Rage 2 and the Wolfenstein game. Killing nazis in the 80s? Yes please.
Rage 2 looks like Mad Max/Fallout/Doom had a baby.

I’m not interested in Fallout 76, which is an online survival game. But people (Fallout fans) are completely losing their shit over this game (in a bad way), saying it’s killing Fallout lore etc... fucks sake just don’t buy the game.

I've never understood the appeal of fallout, tbh.
Metro looks pretty good though

I tried playing fallout 4 but got bored. And I usually love open world games like Skyrim, GTA, Far Cry etc. The Fallout world is just so bland and boring, just vast emptiness that I couldn't be bothered wandering through. Maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance.

When I traded in my copy of Fallout 3, the shopkeeper looked at me as if I lost my mind. I also think it is a boring game.

I loved Fallout 3. Fallout 4 I’ve tried getting into but it’s just not the same - too much emphasis on building and protecting of settlements, and a world/story that was less engaging for some reason. I’ve tried twice to get into it but both times I’ve unconsciously given up on it about only 15 hours in.
Fallout 3 was so addictive, it took effort to stop playing. Fallout 4 required effort to actually fire up get through mind numbing BS.

Wow, that looks amazing. I've been replying Ocarina of Time with my kid the past few weeks thinking to myself that it's such an awesome, well developed game, and now I see this and kind of feel like I've time travelled back to 2018 if that makes sense.
I wish I had more than a dusty old N64 and 50% functional Wii, there is so much bad assness I'm missing out on :(

BF5 is pretty fun (open beta is out), it reminds me a lot of BF1 which isn't a bad thing imo.
The only thing I really dislike is the flight, it all feels so slow. Even slower than BF1.

I hate BFV. And it really isn't like BF1. If it was, I'd like it. Near future warfare is where this franchise needs to go.

Been hanging for a decent WW2 shooter on this gen. The BF5 beta is fun, but has a lot of issues and a lot of mechanics to refine before launch.
I hope this build is one from a while ago, because the visuals, sound and atmosphere aren’t close to being ready for launch. If it’s released as is, then just in these three categories it’s a major step back from BF1.
Other than BF5, I just finished Shenmue, and have kicked off Shenmue II. Also been playing MW2 via backwards compatibility, and looking forward to the Black Ops 4 Battle Royale beta this week.

It doesn't really have a soul to it, if that makes sense. Like I said, I enjoy the gun play and teamwork stuff but I do think a few things need to be ironed out before release. The planes suck and are too slow, and running out of ammo in two minutes and having to resupply from the crates really takes away from the good parts of the game. I love being able to build things, I think that was a great addition to the franchise.
