Hmm would suck if it has no relevance to second one then..I might pick Mafia 2 if i catch it on sale or something and see if it sets me up for the third game but having no connection to the original story is pointless.
Time to grab popcorn for some ubisoft misadvertisement!

Time to grab popcorn for some ubisoft misadvertisement! Mafia 2 has a great story but the gameplay gets a tad bit repetitive. It's still worth playing for the story and setting though.

shame , they have got one of the most fitting and atmospheric theme in video games imo its just so iconic and yet they come up with this shit. last okay BF theme was BF3. not that its the theme of BF1 but well the original theme is lacking badly. Missed Mafia show , is it worth buying? Eh it doesn't look that great, but then again I'm not really a fan of the direction they are taking with it. Of course you aren't, you racist!

Of course you aren't, you racist! I'm cleaning my flintlock as we speak. You can't even spell gunpowder, let alone use it. I will say, watching the mafia 3 e3 gameplay video makes me mildly intrigued. The physics and AI still look like balls, but the story and setting could be interesting. Although I still would have rather had a game where you start out as an Italian street gangster and work your way up the Italian mafia ranks. This game seems like you do a few things and then you magically became a powerful crime boss in like two hours.

I agree, I'd much rather the game focus on the Italian mafia. I understand the word Mafia doesn't just describe the Italian mob, but this game could have been called anything else and it would be fine. I love the setting of the other games so moving this down south and getting rid of what I loved so much about the other games is slightly disappointing.

This E3 seems pretty weak so far for new game announcements. A good deal of games I want to play though.

Battlefield 1 gameplay looks so fucking good!
That's the only new game/announcement that I'm excited about so far.
Scorpio doesn't really interest me yet - have no interest in VR, and a hardware upgrade doesn't excite me if the games are going to be of the quality that most of them have been over the last couple of years. Will see what happens between now and the release.

Sony's E3 presser has the chance of being laughably bad. Like when Microsoft revealed the XB1 and it was "sports, tv, movies, sports" except it'll PS VR all the things.

If xbone can do 1080p then over 4 times the power can do 4 times the resolution. It can, they said it will. Relax, the master race will do more frames.

I only got a chance to watch the MS conference so far,
Forza Horizon 3 is my big one
Dead Rising 4 looks great
State of Decay 2, I'll take that.
I don't really like Gears of War, but it llooked much better than the ones I have played.
Sea of Thieves looked great, but if it's online only I'll have to give it the swerve.
Sony X wing VR is going to be nothing if it's a freebie, but hopefully it's a sign of things to come.
Not much work is getting done today.

Less than an hour until Zelda! I have several changes of shorts on hand.

God of War looks incredible. It looks like another naughty dog clone. Don't get me wrong I am not dissing it for what it is, but one thing that leaps out with me is there is very little to play, if you don't have much time on your hands, in the Sony camp. The games look really drawn out, there's not much... how would you put it? Quick blast gaming on offer.

The environments did actually remind me very much of something from Naughty Dog, which I'd say is a great compliment. Quick blast gaming really isn't my thing, so to me this looks amazing.

Can't believe how little Mass Effect we got. This is the last E3 before its release; they say they're in the last steps of development, and we literally haven't seen a gameplay trailer. Or even anything more than a 1 second flash of gameplay in a behind the scenes clip. It's weird.

What's the deal with Telltale at this point? Are they just perfecting a niche genre or getting super lazy?

What's the deal with Telltale at this point? Are they just perfecting a niche genre or getting super lazy? Both. They found a format that makes them a lot of money and got the interest of Brands™. But then made everything the same way they did 5 years ago.
