Just a little forum game. Pretty sure we've done this before. Just go into your iTunes or whatever you use for music on your computer, shuffle all the songs and post the first 10 that come up. Don't lie or try to shuffle them several times until you get a set you like. That's cheating. And I can tell if you're cheating.*
*Note: I cannot actually tell if you're cheating, but if you do cheat you'll make Jesus very sad which is even worse probably.
Here I go:
Dream Theater - The X Aspect Epica - Trois Verges Iron Maiden - The Book of Souls Queen - Feelings, Feelings Type O Negative - Love You to Death Metallica - Of Wolf and Men (S&M) King Crimson - Starless Muse - Time is Running Out Steven Reineke - Symphony I (New Day Rising) Movement II Queen - Son and Daughter

I'll do it.
HIM - Passion's Killing Floor Fear Factory - Body Hammer Kreator - The Few, The Proud, The Broken Avenged Sevenfold - An Epic of Time Wasted Bad Religion - How Much Is Enough? Korn - What We Do Moonspell - Let The Children Come To Me Nirvana - Something In The Way Nick Drake - Place To Be Green Day - Stay The Night
A little heavy on the heavy side of my music taste, but at least there's Nick Drake to balance it. Should've been a bit more of the soft stuff.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Millionaires Against Hunger (Freaky Styley Deluxe Edition) Widespread Panic - One Kind Favor (Driving Songs X) Rage Against the Machine - Mindset's a Threat (s/t Deluxe) Radiohead - Morning Bell/Amnesiac (Amnesiac) Red Hot Chili Peppers - If You Want To Stay (Pink Mustang Mix) [Out in L.A.] Nirvana - If You Must [Demo] (With The Lights Out) Nirvana - Polly [Demo] (With The Lights Out) Rage Against the Machine - In My Eyes (Renegades) Metallica - All Nightmare Long (Death Magnetic) Sublime - Pawn Shop (Sublime)
A rather predictable list. Too much Nirvana demos, one is enough for a shuffle. Jeez, I have that pink mustang mix on my iPod? I've only listened to it once. Surprisingly, 3 covers here. Was expecting at least one more metallica song since I have their entire discography on the device. Of all the radiohead songs to come up, Morning Bell/Amnesiac comes up. Also, the more heavy songs are at the end (besides Pawn Shop).

Aint got time for that. Ill do 5. Zu Viele Fuechse Fuer Euch Haensel - Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows If I had a Heart - Fever Ray Never mind, thats it. 2. Phenomenal effort. Bloc Party - Uniform Foals - The French Open The Vaccines - No Hope Rites of Spring - By Design Matthew E. White - Will You Love Me The Velvet Underground - Beginning to See the Light The Velvet Underground - What Goes On Idlewild - Future Works Joy Division - New Dawn Fades Dillard & Clark - Don't Let Me Down Nice list. Bit of a contrast to all the mostly metal-centric lists. God this could be embarrassing.. Yeah, I was a tad nervous as to how it was going to make me look as well. Turned out pretty well though.

Hey Babayaga, you listen to Fever Ray? What's up with Stranger then Kindness and its Video? I saw that late one night on an Indie Video show, really liked the dark vibe, its like Black Metal trip hop, I looked for more like that with no luck, do they have more dark stuff like that song?

You should give Sisters of Mercy a whirl. they're one of those bands I've heard quite a bit of but couldn't name you a single song. what's a good start on the song/album front? Nice list. Bit of a contrast to all the mostly metal-centric lists. thank you. I do listen to quite a bit of metal but most of it is through spotify or on CDs that I just haven't been bothered to put on my laptop In fact, most of the songs on here are from albums of mine that my girlfriend wanted on her iPod but I think what I what I post here ends up reflecting quite well upon me and my tastes (ie: whiny white guys with guitars and, y'know, hair and things). I did it again because it has been a thrilling Friday night so here's 10 random songs, yo: Michael Marra & The Hazey Janes - Cesi N'Est Pas Une Pipe Manic Street Preachers - 4st 7lbs Red Hot Chili Peppers - She's Only 18 Grizzly Bear - Hold Still Tom Waits - Martha (lol, not drunk enough for that) Phosphorescent - Down To Go Lonnie Johnson - Fallin' Rain Blues Grizzly Bear - I Live With You 65Daysofstatic - Dance Parties (Distant) Manic Street Preachers - A Design For Life Taking a leaf from babyaga's book and posting one of the songs. It'll be the last song and it's getting shared in spite of the fact 95% of you have probably heard this song a million times yet it remains decent and songs about the struggle of working class people (by working class people) are important, eh:

Best Sisters of Mercy songs IMO Walk Away Alice No Time to Cry Gimme Shelter Temple of love -both versions
That about it, the rest sounds like my Yamaha RX11 drum machine from 85 or somthing with some disco synth stuff going on.
Cradle of Filth do an awsome cover of No Time To Cry,
