Amazon.com prices works out at £176.23..... which is pretty much what it's listed for on Amazon.co.uk and it willl arrive in 2-4 business days...... SHIIIIITTTT If I order I can then cancel my Spin order and get my £198 back. But... I could wait and then re-sell my Spin boxes on ebay for the price I paid Amazon for. Oh for fucks sake I don't know what to do. Order via Amazon.com, don't cancel the other order just in case. Sell the extra copies (for the same price you paid) to some MetForumer who missed out. |

Pretty much my plan. The Amazon UK rep said he would pass my query to the distribution folks who will (apparently) email later this week to let me know what the score is. I'm gonna hang on until then. The thing that keeps me calm is that it seems to be an issue overall (MetStore has even delayed fulfilling orders due to production delays) so I'm not panicking. Yet. |

Honestly, I don't really know how much of this stuff is new and how much of this stuff was already available in some form. It's just really nice to get a bunch of really cool content right here in one place, and I probably would never have actually gone and sought out these old demos and interviews if I didn't have physical copies of them in my possession. Plus, you can't pirate a sweet-ass picture disc.
There are three different demoes of Ride the Lightning on the demo CD, which is interesting. Does anyone have any idea what this "Boom Box demo" is exactly? Because that solo section is weird as fuck.

I noticed some people over at the asylum were bitching about the cardboard sleeves. I agree that in general proper jewel cases are definitely preferable, but in this case I honestly don't mind the way they handled it. It works for me. He was pretty damn shy at that time, maybe that's why Yeah, I know. Still, it would be nice to hear something from him from that era. Also, I was listening to the Lars interview on Kill 'Em All today. It's about 70 minutes long, so a lot of really good stuff there, but my GOD that background is noisy as fuck. Makes the interview pretty much impossible to listen to at times. What the hell is going on? |

I need to ask you all something, I'm no audiophile but shouldn't I be able to tell the difference between 320 kbps and FLAC files ? Yesterday I put the remaster files in media system in my car, both MP3 and FLAC, I couldn't tell the difference one bit.
I haven't tried with my headphones so maybe that's why, buy still.
KEA and Ride sounds so good btw, I can't believe I didn't really care for this in the beginning, those remasters made me revisit those albums. Such good music

if you've got high tech stereo gear and undamaged hearing, yeah.
All this audiophile stuff is just nonsense to me. My hearing is a bit fucked from years of abuse, so MP3 sounds good to me. For others, not so much. That's the barometer. Listen to both formats, if there's no difference, stick with the more manageable files (MP3s).

If someone somewhere on the internet could go ahead and either put the RTL DVD on youtube or just rip the audio from it so I could listen to it that'd be great.
Also that 3/10/1985 gig. That's an amazing show. Very happy with how that one sounds.
