I had a listen to this track last week. I prefer the newer albums to the older stuff but don't dislike the growls. Song still has elements of what I like about their new stuff so am keen to hear the rest of what they have done. Has a lot to live up to, the last album was fantastic.

Their best albums are probably Blackwater Park, Ghost Reveries and Still Life, but i agree there's some interesting stuff off their recent releases especially on Pale Communion and Sorceress.

Ghost Reveries is probably my most played earlier Opeth. (I think the old/new Opeth line is drawn when Heritage was released.)

I completely forgot about Sorceress eventhough it's easily better than Heritage and Pale Communion. In Cauda Venenum is absolutely spectacular, it took Mike 4 tries to nail this sound, hopefully he doesn't discard it completely. The new drummer has HUGE shoes to fill, too.
