I really hope, and I thought they already would have done it by now, would stop these stadium shows with these regular set lists.
Yes they have a new album and a tour bla bla and that’s cool, but I’m really looking forward to them slowing it down.
Removing all the unnecessary stuff and gimmicks, playing small indoor places with lots of deep cuts. That is what I really want

They are probably getting pushed to create a lot of money for the organisation that is Metallica. I just feel like they are doing themselves a disservice. They don’t represent themselves fairly at these shows, they a filled with personal error and horrific sound. They would sound so much better at a small stage |

Which songs where cut? Maybe they'll throw in a quick 2 others on night 2 to make up for it. Last Caress/Green Hell, or Motorbreath. Something like that.
Edit- so Day and MOP it was.

Curious if they’re gonna make them up tomorrow. I can’t imagine they’ll play more if James’ voice is shot but they were promising “over 30 songs a weekend” so who knows.
Last night they decided to cut Day as the tape was playing lol. They played the Hardwired tape right after.

They should have had Phil come out and sing MOP, and Whiplash (to replace Day) and then opened up with something else on Sunday. I guess it was more than just vocals. Imagine your on the rail and James comes right up to you during Seek, is about to start singing, then violently projectile vomits all over you. That would be the greatest thing to happen to some fans😂 I don't know how I would react to that.

He didn't do the intro like how usually James starts singing the chorus with just his guitar and then Lars counts in the real intro.

Thats 1 week...I wouldnt be very confident he will be 100%. Ive watched a few guys at work over last 6 months, all younger (35-55), struggle for weeks to perk up.
Hopefully he kicks it quickly.

I was shocked they booked it so soon. I guess the money's tighter then I thought.though I wouldn't want to reimburse 20-31 million in ticket prices, plus all the costs of extra wasted labor etc.
This show, which hopefully goes on will definitely be worth keeping an eye on. Could be epic and spectacular, or the complete opposite...

That's a super interesting video. I love back stage or off stage stuff like this. And damn, his voice sounded ROUGH during Hardwired... Definitely the right call to cut it short. It wouldn't have been wrong to cancel the whole show, to be honest.

Could be that it was just a slight throat tickle before the show, which rapidly got worse as he exserted himself for the performance with all the heat and adrenaline etc.

It’s crazy how you can’t even detect anything wrong from videos of the first couple songs. I’m sure those’ll be the ones the band makes videos from. |

Well in Europe it’s still sunny at the start of the gig where Bellz often are played. Would give absolutely no effect if they switched of the light in an open stadium. Just a guess |
