My fav video is Here Comes Revenge. Prob said it before, awesomely creepy. Some of the Hardwired videos were very cool. HCR has a much better video than what the song is.

All of this Too Far Gone promo feels very "oh shit! this song could've been very popular if we picked it as a single!"

Too Far Gone isn't in my top 5 but it's arguably the best constructed song on the album. It's a good example of a song that doesn't overstay its welcome. Every section has a purpose. Plus it's super catchy and has a great dual harmony part.

Listening to the 72S track, there's some dodgy riffs in there, overall it's a decent song though.

Do you guys think 72 Seasons is a great album? I'm having my doubts after listening to it for 6 months.

I haven't listened to 72S for a few months now. I listened to Hardwired for a good three years straight pretty much weekly. I'd say that 72S is good, but not great. Nowhere near Hardwired's godtier status, but far, far ahead of Death Magnetic. It's hard to compare it to older albums, though.

I don't think my opinion of the album has changed too much in the last few months, but it's definitely getting older a little quicker than Hardwired did for me too. I still spin it, but I've been gravitating mostly towards the songs I didn't show as much love to when it came out (Shadows Follow, Chasing Light, IDHAS).
If anything I'm realizing just how strong the best songs from Hardwired are, compared to the strongest from 72S.

The title track and Inamorata get regular play here. I think both are fantastic. But yeah, most of the album is just kind of there. Enjoyable but nothing crazy.

Really haven't listened to any Metallica since the concert here, but that is my usual behavior. Binge up until show day, then put whichever band it was I saw on the shelf for a while. I still really enjoy the album, but have no want or need to dive into it at the moment.

I just listened to a few songs in the car. They sound AWESOME!! The drums are heavy and 'full', the guitars sound great and the bass is ... there.

I just put the album on for the first time in a while. Two songs in, and this sounds pretty good. The hi-hat isn't nearly as irritating as it was earlier. I'm fine with it. The album sounds good, and I really, really like the title song.

Okay the hi-hat gets pretty irritating on Screaming Suicide.

Most songs on 72 seasons sound 'samey' (except for a few songsà, Hardwired (cd) is more diverce.

72 Seasons is kind of the same standard as Reload and St.Anger in terms of songwriting.

I haven't listened to the album for about four months or so. It's a great and strong farewell album, I think.
Now they just seem to be over it, and so am I.

What I really mean is that, by watching some of the live performances, it seems that the whole honeymoon/hype phase of the new album has already fade away. The crowd in general don't seem to show any special appreciation for the new stuff, and some times it seems that the band is noticing that kinda cold reception. I don't know, maybe it's just me.

All of the new songs fell very flat at my shows where I was standing. I had a great time, but the crowd died down a lot. They're also noticeably looser than the rest of the set though.

People have been wondering about that one for months. It was either completely done not that long ago, or parts of it at least.
