We have no idea what the lyrics will be about. I have a feeling that morons who write such things don't know this band. Not every song on RtL is about capital death, not every song on AJFA is about corrupt justice system. Metallica does not do concept albums. Even if that wasn't the case then somebody clearly didn't even understand what James said about 72 seasons. It's obvious that what happens after those 18 years is what really matters. |

I find it interesting that 72 Seasons, the song, has been described by James (We are assuming he's just talking about the song + the general vibe of the rest of the songs) and that it's the opening track. Given what has been said, that seems like allot to pack into a traditional opening track, like no fucking around, boom, here is this super deep, epic title track. Imagine if MOP opened with MOP or Justice with Justice.
Who knows, could be a 3 minute thrasher with James telling off all his teachers he had each school year lol.

I wonder who's idea it was to choose Lux Æterna as the first single, there must be better songs on the album (hopefully). Hardwired was the first single and is hardly the best song on the album. It is the best song on the album, if you ask me. Still to this day. I absolutely adore that song.
Also, Lux Æterna is definitely growing on me. I've listened to it about 150 times now, and it just feels... Kickass.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but I went back to see how many and when the singles were released for Hardwired.
1) Hardwired - 8/18/2016
2) Moth Into Flame - 9/26/2016
3) Atlas Rise - 10/31/2016
Album Released - 11/18/2016
If they follow this pattern, the 2nd single should be this month or in February,and the 3rd single should come out in March 2023.
Can't wait!

150 times… Is that like super exaggerated or ? Nope. Listened to Lux Æterna 48 times on the first day, and pretty regularly ever since. At least a few times a day, and probably about a hundred times altogether during the first week. When Hardwired came out, I listened it through 96 times during the first 24 hours. |

It has a catchy, radio friendly ring to it. Can't see them going with Screaming Suicide as a promo, unless it's all emo and has a help line number at the end of the video or something. |

'Eternal' and 'chasing'? I could've sworn there were mentions of Chasing Light in LA but it looks like I misremembered. I think the whole "Full Speed" and "Anticipation" stuff is what makes them similar sounding.
