Postman delivered the Revolver box to the door yesterday. Just about to listen to the new mix.
I'm Only Sleeping video was put up yesterday. Some very talented person painted oil frame after frame to end up with this masterpiece

The Revolver box is an absolute treat. They did it right with Anthology warming up all of these box sets 25 years later. The non-giggle version of AYBCS is one of my faves.

They were exciting times, now x10 Looking through the set I can see I have lots of this stuff already but poor quality. (Not refering to Anthology) Probably my favourite album of theirs, I can never make up my mind between Revolver and White Album. (and Hard Days Night. Too hard to pick favs when it comes to The Beatles) I kind of figure 90% of anything worth hearing from the band is out there at this point. But the sound quality of everything off these box sets is far better than I ever imagined we'd hear some of those old bootlegs. The complete Rooftop Concert is still my all time favorite thing from the last few years. I never thought we'd get a chance to hear that unedited.
Also, the correct speed version of Rain was incredible!

Watching the rooftop concert in full n a big screen was amazing. Those lifting floorboards under the band.
One of my favourite parts of the recent PJ film was watching Paul literally bash out Get Back from his bass.
And to think all those songs played on the roof and also inside with the piano didnt exist the month before is incredible.

Revisited the Sessions discs from Revolver box yesterday.
Some of the info in the book is amazing. I have Mark Lewisohns complete recording book but this has extra info detail such as George re-singing the single "me" word at the end of Taxman after they decided to splice in the section with Pauls solo onto the end and fade.
I love this sort of detail.

What blew my mind was them singing "Taxman" was inspired by Batman theme.....can I ever not hear it like this again?!  And some info on how Tomorrow Never Knows was put together. Turns out a previous mix which got the nod then rejected got thru for a short time creating a small batch of collectables.  |

Gave it a couple of listens on day one and woke up with the verse melody in my head so it passes the catch test.
Yet to try and play it through but seems to have a few minor chords throughout.
Its a gift to hear Johns voice singing something "new".

There was no video for my 1st couple of listens...just the title on screen looking like a schoolkid learning Word...so was glad a video went up.
Great video too...that ending really feels like the ending.
So happy that Paul pushed to finish this all properly.

Have you watched the mini documentary on the whole thing? Super interesting and full of nerdy techy stuff.
I love the song, reminds me of Michelle. It plays alot on the radio here and it does pull at the heart.
