I was gonna post in Random Thoughts but I figured this was worth it's own thread. I'm not sure how long this has been a thing, but EVERY MetOnTour and club exclusive video is available on the website now if you log in. Including digitalized Fan Cans and tuning room videos from as early as 2000. I had zero clue they released stuff like that so early on, it feels so weird to see what my brain thinks as "modern internet content" but with Jason in the band. There's also some tuning room footage with Lars clearly coked out of his brain and playing at 300 bpm.
There's also really nice looking pro-shot footage from pretty much any important performance from the last 20 years too. Until It Sleeps & Frantic from 2008 were a couple highlights I found. They were released as low res YouTube videos way back in the day but the new uploads look phenomenal.

That's really cool. The earliest stuff from the web I clearly remember is from the St Anger era. I was following on line whenever I could settle down somewhere that had a PC and internet. I'll never forget watching the introduction of Rob. Anything from Jason's end of the run I can sort of vaguely see in my minds eye, but that may be because I've seen clips after the fact. But yeah, Diet coke and lemon fly on the wall stuff from early 2000s is clear as day. The build up and promo for St Anger, on the first generation iMac with the clear fat ass at friends houses, feels like a few months. I will definitely check out some of that stuff.
The fan can stuff has been on the site for a good while (I think) or maybe it was exclusive to paying fanclub members before the club went through the change, pretty sure we had that section on the old fanclub site and I've seen most of them.
I'll check it out. Lars on coke sounds like a good watch.

I remember there's a couple of videos of them jamming/rehearsing in a very empty looking HQ pre St. Anger, with Jason there.
The St. Anger era MetOnTour stuff is still only 240p..which makes it a blurry mess to watch now days

The St. Anger era MetOnTour stuff is still only 240p..which makes it a blurry mess to watch now days Likely that'll be the doc on the S&M DVD. They rehearsed there before they bought it. Used to belong to the Grateful Dead. |

Nostalgia is a powerful thing!
All the JITS stuff.... anything from the MOT days... all of that wrapped up the old Club is just catnip to me and I could easily spend hours reminiscing about it all. PPM and the little cliques that weren't cliques but really were. The personalities and dramas and all that. The caht room and how it went fucking mental when one of the band (or two...) showed up.
