I wonder if they were looking for specific things to fill in some gaps? I have to think they were pretty good historians by the mid-90s knowing how Lars is now. If they wanted something specific I think they would ask for it. Who ever I have been corresponding with told me it took a while because they got hundreds of thousands of submissions. (That's alot of ticket stub photos to go through LoL) Unless they enjoy the punishment of sifting through all that for no reason. It feels like, based on the content of the previous books, that they're wanting stuff that is something other than ticket stubs. Photos of the band taken by fans, newspaper/magazine stuff, posters, stickers etc etc. The kind of ephemera that is very specific to the period of time. Tickets are cool, of course, but far cooler is a picture of a fan with James at a bar or a record store meet and greet or something. It'll be interesting to see the content. Dan has said that there is not as much live video content as there was for TBA. I guess because most of the shows, there was no screen for a live feed like on TBA (they had a touring camera crew on that show) so who knows... Again: trying to rein in my expectations but the above reason is kinda why I'm hoping that I get in the box cos I sent some pretty unique things in (as well as boring tickets  ) You guys getting me pumped for the release. Really looking forward to this one too With good reason! It's gonna be awesome! |

I can see them trying to acquire a ticket stub for each date to make a tour splash page with the ticket images instead of just listing the dates and cities. Is that how they did it for the other boxes?

Only one guy on the other board posted that they got a release form for their ticket stub. I thought there would be tons of members on there posting cartwheels 😕 Still nothing over there except the one person I mentioned. Maybe the whole book is just JayC's stuff and that guys ticket stub photo. Lol Seriously though, it's too quiet. Makes me think that a bunch of people switched emails or dropped off the map. 2 years is a lifetime for some folks. |
