I listened to it again and there were a couple of moments where she wasn't quite there, for example 1:35. having said that I think she has alot of guts to take on this song. I like singing and I wouldn't dare try and sing this. I would love to take singing lessons but they cost 40 bucks for half an hour!! |

Cool beans. How'd you hook up with these guys? I quit my previous band around Jan and was considering hanging it up. I was pretty disgusted with egos and drama, especially having to deal with grown men's baby feelings when they're all over 50. I was just done. I was checking out Craigslist looking for a used GPU and looked in the want ads for musicians and came across an ad for a band wanting a drummer and they listed a lot of cool bands, including Rush. It peaked my interest so I got in touch with them and went to try out. We all just hit it off and it's been an absolute pleasure. No drama, no egos, no baby feelings. We work together and have fun. We're all helping our vocalist reach whatever her peak is. She may not be everyone's cup of tea right now but she gives 110% at practice and tries really hard. So much better than a vocalist that's decent that thinks they're great and tries to have the ego to match. I'm just enjoying playing music again. Hell, just watching myself I can see that I'm into it again. |

Good move Prime. She was okay at best, but, if you're in a metal band with a lady singer, she better have some pipes, like that Ginger chick.
Your ex singer, with practice, would suit a classic rock band though, I don't know which direction you guys were headed, could have gone either way.
