The solo was fine to me, I don't see what people were complaining about here, but whatev. I'm surprised they didn't edit James messing up the lyrics.
That was a rather short cover though. Probs to give James a break, that song just gets more painful vocally towards the end.

I know it's acoustic and shit but what the fuck happened to the fat bass intro? They try something different I can understand but it's so different that I'm not able to hear "Would" anymore.

I think pretty much everyone did better than Metallica did. Too bad. Mastodon and Dallas Green were standouts for me. Korn did a better version of Would? too.

Yeah the other bands put time and effort into this. Metallica just winged it and went with it. Korns version was pretty sweet, although it sounded a bit auto-tuned to my ears

Might just be the way the backing vocals are mixed so clean but I also kinda hear it at the end.
