Pantera put on such a good show on Friday, that part of me felt ready to go home after they were over. Not because I was ready to go home, but because of how solid it was for a 7-8pm show. Great sound, amazing energy, and great crowd interaction. They also use Metallica's giant circle stage better than Metallica did. It would be cool if they played Down and Superjoint songs too, mix things up a bit. They need to play more Pantera songs first. They’ve barely touched Trendkill and Reinventing the Steel, and if the first Metallica show was any indication, they won’t be touching either of those albums for their shows as openers.

Going to see them tonight! Pit pass and possible backstage pass. STOKED How was it?? Best concert I've ever attended, period. The crowd was amazing and the love and respect for everyone there was unfathomable.

I've tried to watch some of the Pantera live videos but it kinda feels dated and something seems off without the original members.

Dude shut the fuck up already. No no, let the man speak. For once, he has a good point.

Dude shut the fuck up already. No no, let the man speak. For once, he has a good point. If he has a good point then any band that plays music beyond a year or two after release feels "dated", and I don't buy that for a second.
These songs haven"t been played like this in 20+ years. If anything, they feel fresh again.

The dated bit maybe not so much, but "something seems off without the original members" rings very true.

Probably the best sounding song this lineup does now. Super good.

Was thinking about my favourite Pantera album (not including Vulgar), would have to be Great Southern Trendkill or Cowboys.
