I forgot he had cancer. He's had it for a pretty long time, so not a bad run given the circumstance. RIP.

Yeah, woke up to this. Sad news.
Eddie really did leave his mark on the art playing. That first album is a classic...back in the day, hearing Eruption was from another planet.
I also learnt that Aussie Jimmy Barnes almost became VH's singer - thank god that didnt happen

Absolutely heartbroken. Along with Metallica he’s the reason I play guitar.

Shred In Peace Eddie. I'll never forget hearing Eruption the first time. Blew me away then, blew me away now. There's very few people I'll take a shot and toast to. I did to Lemmy, I'll do it to Eddie.

these past few weeks I've been enjoying Van Halen's music so much, mainly the David Lee Roth era. I just wish I'd of appreciated him when he was alive, I've always had VH 'Best Of' but never got into their songs. I'm a guitar instrumental gal and they had a vocalist, just wished I'd of tuned in sooner. RIP Eddie, thank you for the music

They have a few instrumentals. yeah, I bought a 3 pack from JB's for $18. got Van Halen, 1984 & 5150. they are all great albums. Fair Warning arrived this week, I bought it on ebay. I'm waiting on Women And Children First. I ordered Diver Down from Amazon but that may take a while to arrive and I've ordered Van Halen II on ebay, and for some reason that cd cost me more but I want it and am waiting for it. and yes I love their instrumentals, the ones I know that is. Eruption, 1984. thanks for the link
